Recently Activetrails have checking Angles Way and Wherrymans Way with Norfolk Trails.

North Wootton was the latest Norfolk Trails audit, a 3 mile circular route. Recently we revisited Holkham and Wells a 7 mile route which included Holkham Hall and Wells sea front.

We have added 3 more wheelchair accessible routes to our Events and Trails page, they are Sheringham, Mundsley and Werrymans Way. Sheringham is suitable for the everyday wheelchair user although some users may need assistance but Mundsley and Werrymans Way we would recommend Mountain Trike users only.
Recently the draft of the 'Norfolk Access Improvement Plan' was revealed in the Count Hall for the Stakeholders. Activetrails were invited and attended this event.

Mountain Trike EVO Video
The MT Evo is a Mountain Trike adapted for riders with limited hand function – inclusive, all-terrain, self-propelled, versatile and available in any colour and just as good looking as the Mountain Trike original
The Activetrails team has been assisting Norfolk Trails this week with some more audits in Bacton Woods, Cromer and Mundsley. Norfolk Trails are including wheelchair accessible routes on their website. We will be adding some routes to our website soon.
National England have been improving the coast to encourage people to visit the coast and walk more, Lord Gardiner was in the Great Yarmouth area to see the improvements that have been made. Two wheelchair accessible boardwalks have been constructed to give wheelchair users the chance to experience the beach and get closer to the sea, Activetrails were invited to have a look at these boardwalks.
We've now started access testing the Marriotts Way with Norfolk Trails. This will be 26 miles long and is from Norwich to Aylsham.
Norfolk Trails are currently in the process of creating access tested booklets. These will be available to view online via there website.
The Activetrails team would like to thank Whitlingham Park for inviting us to this event. This allowed people to view and have a go in the Mountain Trike.
We were in Holme recently assessing a route for wheelchair access. This route would not only allow wheelchair users to experience the views of the sea and beautiful countryside but enjoy the wild birds in the bird watching observatory.
The Activetrails team will be at Whitlingham Park on 23rd July for the 'Picnic at the Park' day. If you're interested in seeing the Mountain Trike, having a try or booking a demonstration this will be an excellent opportunity.
Paraplegic TV Presenter Mik Scarlet visited the Norfolk Broads earlier in the year to make a short video about wheelchair access on the broads. Whitlingham Park featured in the video where Mik went for a boat trip on the lake in the wheelchair accessible raft called the Ra. Also he met the Activetrails team and had a try in the Mountain Trike. You can have a look at the video here.
